So with new hope, I have just reinstalled Win7 with all the drivers and updates. Thanks for your help. Sound cutting off spontaneously on Windows Vista. The problem here is if you aren’t highly mechanically inclined and don’t know exactly what you are doing, some battery retaining methods aren’t very “user friendly” and can be easily damaged, causing problems for sure.
